Domiciliary care (also known as home care) is a range of care services you can receive in your own home, to help you cope with disability or illness, and to become or remain independent for as long as possible. With domiciliary care, you or your loved one can continue to stay in the place you feel most comfortable – at home. We provide ongoing support that’s completely built around your needs and routines
At Merit Care Ltd, we have home care packages built to support you and to maintain your chosen lifestyle. The packages varies from just one call a day up to four calls a day and at times these can be up to 24 hrs a day. We believe that each customer is unique, with their own individual preferences and needs. So, we keep you in control and provide you with the domiciliary care and support you want, where and when you want it. It’s your life and your home care, so it must be your way. The aim of home care is to
• help you keep your independence and remain living at home
• prevent you having to go into a long-term care home or hospital
• reduce physical or emotional stress to you and your carer
Following a holistic assessment of care needs by one of our care managers, a care plan is put in place with all the identified care needs, You will be involved in this crucial stage of assessment and care planning. Our carers are fully trained to assist you with task such as personal care tasks, toileting, taking your medication, preparing your bed, preparation and serving food and hot drinks. We also support you with social activities like going out for a walk, attending a day centre, visiting friends or family or going to your church or club. Our care services are fully regulated by the relevant country regulator including Care Quality Commission (CQC) for England.
